An interactive, research-driven tool empowering people to identify deepfakes, develop practical defenses, and build a deepfake-literate community across the Global South.

Deepfakes are spreading fast – from politics to entertainment.
In the Global South, they often target women, girls, and vulnerable voices.
Yet most people still lack the skills or awareness to spot fakes or know how to respond.
That's where Deepfake.help steps in. Through short, interactive scenarios and relatable examples tailored to local contexts, we help users spot manipulation, think critically, and stay safe online.
Deepfake.help was developed from research that blends human stories, creative pedagogy, and insights into human behavior.
Through focus group workshops and real-world testing, we grounded the tool in the principles of Inoculation and Reinforcement Learning, helping people not just spot deepfakes, but understand them and act responsibly.

Deepfake.help offers two interactive paths
Lets users practice recognizing deepfakes in action and empowers them to spot manipulation
Unpacks the tactics behind deepfakes, helps reduce harm, and guides users to think critically, know their rights, and take informed digital action.
